An Orthodox School...Opening Fall 2026

Our School

Welcome to St. Timothy Orthodox Christian Academy. Founded to serve the families of St. Timothy Parish and beyond, our academy is dedicated to forming the hearts and minds of children in Christ through truth, beauty and goodness. We offer a classical, Orthodox Christian education rooted in the life of the Church and adapted to the needs of modern students.

Mission and Vision

Our mission is to cultivate love of God and neighbor through an excellent classical education that nurtures each child’s intellectual, spiritual, moral and physical potential. We envision a partnership of parish and family that raises faithful Orthodox Christians equipped to engage the world with wisdom and humility.

Core Values

  • Orthodox Faith: Each day begins and ends with prayer and icon veneration in our chapel, and students participate in daily Bible class and regular catechesis. Liturgical arts such as prosphora baking and beeswax candle‑making connect classroom lessons to the rhythm of the Church year.

  • Classical Curriculum: Students study the liberal arts—grammar, logic and rhetoric—alongside Latin, Greek, literature, science, mathematics and history, learning to think clearly and express themselves persuasively.

  • Community and Joy: Learning is a joyful offering of worship. Our community culture emphasizes love, wisdom and joy (agape, sophia, chara), fostering relationships among students, teachers and families.

  • Equity and Welcome: St. Timothy’s is open to families of all backgrounds who embrace our mission, without discrimination based on age, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin or disability.

A Hybrid Classical Model

St. Timothy’s employs a phased, hybrid model that combines at‑home and on‑campus learning:

  • In our inaugural year (Phase 1), students in grades K–5 attend two half‑day sessions on campus each week for science, social studies, faith formation and the arts. On at‑home days, they study English Language Arts and Mathematics through live online classes provided by Scholé Academy’s St. Raphael Online Academy, an Orthodox house of studies.

  • Future phases add more on‑campus time as the school grows, eventually offering four full days of classroom instruction.

  • To support core subjects, we use IXL.com for computer‑aided practice in math, language arts, science and social studies. This adaptive platform lets students reinforce skills at their own pace while teachers track progress.

Spiritual Life and Community

Everything we do is rooted in the life of the Orthodox Church. Our academic calendar aligns with the liturgical year; we celebrate feast days, observe fasts, and pause classes during Holy Week and Bright Week. Parents are welcomed as partners through volunteer opportunities, service projects and school events that strengthen our parish community.
